It's hard to miss the flamed rear end, but stuff like the front rockers and the radial spoked front wheel are really neat

I'll bet this piece of motorcycle is a re-incarnation of either one dragon bikes seen above (or maybe it is all 1 bike through the decades!) And ofcourse there is always some #$%^& that has to "improve" something and tend to go overboard. "If you can doesn't mean you should!" kind of thing!

Michael from Denmark sends some pics of his work in progress 3 wheeler that he bought from the USA about 8 years ago. According to the seller back then: it was built in Xenia, and the man was dead now but his son still lives. The guy told me that it had a pan in it and he bought it only for that many years ago, and then put in his barn. Michael sourced the wheels that he likes on it and also the girder. If anyone has some more info / history about this very special trike, let us know please!

Looks like Michael has a lot of projects going on ;-) put the trike as a number 1 priority please!

The coolest part of the whole trike is the weird molded rear end! It could use a talented painter to add some psychedelics. Interesting looking steamroller thing behind it too...

maybe you got the impression that I like all bikes built in the 70s, but that's not the case. Take this here bike, it has all the cool stuff that you'd imagine, but the flow just isn't there. Take a look at the handlebar area, I have never seen something so crowded! The color combo doesn't work for me either. Ofcourse it is all just a matter of taste and I would definatly have a look if it was on a bike show somewhere, but I'd prefer to strip it and take all parts! especially the gold stuff ;-)

K Model chopper

saw a cool article about a K model chopper, built back in the day by Curt Hults from Napa, CA

"I built this 1954 Harley Davidson K scooter back in 1969, one of the first "choppers" I'd ever done, and on a really limited budget (I was a teenager then). Picked it up as a "basket case" we found laying around in the back of the late Stan Dishong's Harley shop in Vallejo CA, and thanks to some help and moral support from Jerry Collins (then - Collins Cycles in Napa CA) I got her all put together and on the road. I sold it not long after this pic was taken and went on to build others, but this was one of my all time favorites. People talk about "Old School" these days, well, here's one of the originals. The tank is a fiberglass "coffin" style, and we strutted the rear and stretched the forks 10" to get the low, stretched look that was common back in The Day."

Are there more CF fenders in Holland then in the rest of the world!?? don't know, but here is another from Niels! Dubbed the Frankenstein (now it needs a paintjob to complement that name Niels!) and is clearly a work in progress and the typical Dutch garden build! Bars are from PangeaSpeed, molded tank by Groovy Cycles, CFF, and some aftermarket oil tank. And the 35mm wide glide trees were already on the bike and were a popular item in the 80s

Plans are to get some lower shocks and maybe a round swingarm, to get that stance right.

Get that wheel in original shape Niels! get that black stuff off the highlighted area!

Mod Rod inspiration

the Mod Rod, a well known '23 Ford T built in 1972 was the inspiration for the new header. The far out space scene is the best!! The car's first year it was known as "Oddyssey" before it was dubbed mod rod. Street rod magazine did a nice write up on the whole car here

I'm guessing it was built somewhere around the mid to late 80s, by the use of the brakes, style of the front fender, modern tires and the use of steel braided hoses with annodized connecter thingies. Also the use of the catalog bought engraved stuff give it away. And just because of that it has me a bit puzzled, cause I didn't think diggers were popular anymore around that time.

bigtwin diggers are not so common as the Sportster version. It probably is because the sportster has a more horizontal top tube then a bigtwin, making the typical low slung digger appearence possible especially with a goosneck or hardhead conversion.

It has been a little quiet on the motorcycle front here lately in the ZZchop garage, the chopper is down due to failure of the electronic ignition and I'm thinking of selling the big brown garbage wagon... (in favor af a FXR!)
But it is not all sorrow and sadness, the CB750 chopper is starting to take shape in Tjeerds shop, looking forward to make some miles on that one! Good times will come soon!

It really is so much fun to drive, because it is so low, it feels like you're in a slammed lowrider or something! The whole exhaust scrapes through corners and over speed bumps!

It's ridiculous! a big smile every time i see this big butt!
Really everyone should build a dresser once in their lives, the longer the ass the better it is! (If I had a spine and see through this project) I would extend that backend at least 25 inches!
