Tuesday Tankday

So many tanks were done with this similar mural, It was a very popular scene!

I love this intricate design, it really is mindboggling how it was masked and what was painted first

Great color combination and effects. Looks like candies over metallic pearl paint

Chromed

Came across this nice dresser on the Schuchert Motor blog , which at first glance seems like a chromed version of a rare 40s / 50s accesory item featured on this blog a couple of years ago. But the shape seems a bit different and more egg like.
That bike must have been like something from outter space back then!
This bike is really something else. Its got a glide front end, so the pic is from '50 and up, but I'm guessing not much later then that. Don't know whats going on on top of the handlebars, but it looks like an extra dash of some sort!?

Same idea of hardbags, but a different shape. Very funky and streamlined in design!

German outlaw

Old pic from Matje's archives from a German outlaw (hailing from Essen) from the 1970s, (can't really tell what the top rocker says, can you!?)
He bought the cool CB550 "funny" chopper built by Matje back then, when this picture was taken. Sadly according to the Dutch DMV, the registration number isn't known anymore. But it could be in Germany somewhere.
Real European chopper history right here!!!

Ness setup stolen!

The Bones Legacy is missing some stuff, keep your eyes open if you see any of these items. This stuff needs to get back to the rightful owner. Here's the story:
REWARD
For the information of the whereabouts or return with no questions asked, Our Arlen Ness Sportster Frame,Tank and Fender. Last person to have this was Dwight Purcell at Purcellz Customz to preserve the paint but failed to return. Its very sad because this was all vintage items from the 70's by Ness and the near perfect paint job that was never put together and was painted in 1978. We had big plans to restore this as a true Ness survivor. With magazines interested in featuring it before it was completed. It would be a complete atrocity if the paint job was destroyed but we still want it back. Items may still be in the Las Vegas area or Utah, California or Arizona but could be anywhere as we speak. Please help us out and spread the word so it can returned to the rightful owner and before someone becomes a victim of receiving or selling stolen property.
Thank you
